What We Believe

John Babbits Jr.Grace, mercy, and peace to you from God our Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

Thank you for taking time to find out more about Emmanuel Lutheran Church. One thing that I hope you'll discover as you look through this web site and hopefully come to visit us in person is that we have a desire to show the love of Christ to our community in a very real way. That includes prayer for those in their needs and their joys but we also want to help in practical ways as well.

We do this by collecting blankets and linens for immigrants and the homeless, pencils and backpacks for needy children, organizing clean-up days to protect our environment and supporting our local national park.

We want to make other people more aware of the challenges faced by families with a developmental disability child and supporting them in their needs. We want to provide Christian child care and instruction through an Open Arms ministry, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and special workshops. We want to give comfort to the grieving and help others in many other ways according to their needs.

Whatever your passion happens to be there is always a place for you to be active in God's church reaching out to His people, many of whom are ignorant to the message of salvation by the grace of God through Jesus Christ.

We invite you to take the time to explore and prayerfully consider joining us in our work to fulfill the Great Comission that our Lord and Savior gave His church, "Go therefore baptizing all nations in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them all I have commanded you." While fulfilling that Great Commission that Jesus gave us we will be touching the lives of those around us. And having lots of fun in the process.

SDG,

Deacon John J. Babbitts, Jr.
